REHABILITATION WORKS

Carlos Carranza Berm Repair and Restoration – APRIL 2010

Contract work on this project was in relation to the Tradewinds exercise. The works were prepatory and restoration works and included removal of existing material, re-shaping of berm and slope embankment to 1:1 in maximum layers of 20cm. Compaction was done in compliance of ASTM D 1557 for cohesive materials (90% compaction).

In addition, the firing positions at this K-D range were restored to original condition including the cmu walls. Finally, we provided for grassing of the reconstructed berm using local grass as a form of erosion control

Albert & Regent Street Rehabilitation Works - 2009

Our involvement in the rehabilitation project of downtown Belize City included the demolition of all existing sidewalks on Albert Street and construction of drains and new sidewalks with an architectural finish. Stamped Concrete was chosen for its aesthetic value and the Maheias United decorative concrete team delivered on the concept. On Regent Street, drains were repaired and sidewalks were installed on both sides of the street. The result: a friendlier and safer walking environment for Belizeans and visitors alike.
